Sun Valley, ID: On Thursday, November 9, we conducted a full-day ethics training for Idaho Business and Marketing teachers at the 2023 Idaho Business Education Association (IBEA) Fall Conference.
Sarah Pelayo, one of our Ethics Integration Specialists, and Shauna Williams, the Idaho Consortium Representative and Vice Chair of the MBA Research Board of Trustees, invited four area businesspeople to talk with teachers about ethics in the workplace:
- Harry Griffith, Sun Valley Economic Development/Co-founder Sun Valley Culinary Institute
- Mike McKenna, Ketchum Chamber of Commerce
- Todd Hunter, Owner of Ketchum True Value Hardware and former football coach
- Norm Leopold, Magistrate Judge in Washington & Idaho and owner of a private mediation company
The day’s events included an overview of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative, HR/ethics panel with Q&A, and discussion of the variety of free ethics resources available to educators.
Time for fun: It wasn’t all work, as participants engaged in two activities from the Ethics Boot Camp: Ethics Activity #1 Beach Ball Toss and Team Building Activity #14 Perfect Square.
A huge thank-you to our Idaho businesspeople and the Idaho Business Education Association!
