Marketing Lead/Graphic Designer

This full-time position will answer to the CEO and work with key staff to develop a strategic marketing and communications plan, oversee day-to-day marketing and communications activities, and design various materials for print and digital collateral. Responsibilities will be highly varied and will change over time, including:

  • Development, management, and oversight of marketing and communications plans
  • Management of conference attendance, sponsorship, and exhibits
  • Message and brand development
  • Web oversight and coordination with IT team
  • Development of content calendar for social media and newsletter planning
  • Annual report development
  • Development, management, and evaluation of marketing analytics
  • Utilization of a wide range of media and use graphic design software
  • Production of promotional materials in print and digital formats. Examples include: flyers and brochures, logos, advertisements, and social media posts, newsletters, annual reports, exhibit/conference materials (e.g., signs, table runners, banners)

Additional responsibilities commensurate with skills, interest, and changing company needs. Position includes some travel. Experience in education and grant funding is a plus. Successful candidate will have BA in Marketing with a focus in graphic design, visual communications, or related field.


  • Solid literacy in Office/Google/online marketing apps
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (Office 365)

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Canva and Canvas
  • Photography and/or videography skills
  • Coding experience (basic html)
