High School of Business™ Summer Training Goes to Denver

At the end of June, we hosted teachers in Denver, CO for High School of Business  (HSB) summer training!

Teachers started in student mode during Pedagogy training and worked through the first HSB project: creating and presenting a business bio. Taylor and Tanner Barkin, HSB alumni and founders/owners of Moore Collection, inspired the teachers by sharing the story behind their business—which they started in high school and have continued to grow!

Teachers then presented their projects to a guest panel including Jean Schneider, HSB teacher at Prairie View High School; Jennifer Jasinowski, CTE Coordinator at Aurora Public Schools; and Pamela Packer, Assistant Dean of the College of Business at Metropolitan State University.

For the last half of the week, teachers transitioned to teacher mode for Principles of Business training. They dug deeper into the HSB curriculum, learned tips and tricks, and planned out their teaching schedules.

A special thank you to Aurora Public Schools for providing a space for us to host the training and to our trainers, Matt Burg and Rachel Frydlewicz, for their excellent job leading the training!
