Welcome Laurie

It’s an exciting day in Columbus as we welcome Laurie Urich to our team. Laurie, who retires from the Colorado Community College System at the end of May, will join us as a project manager responsible for the development of the MBA Business Coalition for Education.  In this role she’ll work with trade, professional, and service organizations nationwide as we work to develop a network of advocates on behalf of business administration education.

Laurie comes with broad experience in business and marketing education. A former high school business administration teacher, she’s recently served as program leader for the Colorado secondary and postsecondary programs.  In this capacity, she’s been instrumental in the development of Colorado MBA High School of Business™ sites.

Laurie’s leadership skills are evident in the many different responsibilities she assumed and honors she’s received.  A current MBA Board Trustee, she’s served on the national FBLA Board, as President of the National Association of Supervisors of Business Education, and in various state leadership roles.  She’s recently been honored by Colorado DECA with its lifetime member recognition, and by NBEA with its Distinguished Service Award.

Following a short vacation in the tropics, Laurie heads to Columbus to participate in PDTeam training in late June. She’ll join Rick Mangini and Donna Montgomery immediately following as they team up to support growth and development of the MBA Business Coalition for Education.
