Standards-based Assessments

At the most basic level, standards-based assessment, along with standards-based grading, simply suggests that the exam or rubric used is tied (anchored) to specific performance indicators used to define the standard.  A well-designed test item or rubric criterion is sensitive to the intent of the performance indicator, carefully aligned with the verb that defines the learning outcome, and is both valid and reliable.  All MBA Research assessment tools are standards-based and designed to support standards-based grading.
