eLearning Developer

Full-time, new position. As an eLearning Developer, you will be responsible for the design and development of engaging, interactive online instructional materials for middle school, high school, and community/technical college business students. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, you will create multimedia learning materials as well as play a key role in optimizing user experience in the organization’s existing learning management system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adapt existing instructional materials for use online
  • Design eLearning content, exercises, activities, and assessments that align with instructional goals
  • Develop engaging, interactive multimedia learning materials using a variety of online authoring tools
  • Develop supporting material/media (e.g., graphics, animations, videos, audio, games, simulations, role plays, etc.)
  • Write effective instructional text, exercises, activities, assessments, and audio/video scripts
  • Develop materials for desktop/laptop as well as mobile technologies
  • Organize online content for maximum learner retention
  • Apply appropriate instructional strategies to design and develop eLearning materials
  • Incorporate multimedia and instructional design best practices
  • Test and troubleshoot online materials
  • Create templates and design resources to leverage in support of future projects
  • Maintain knowledge of contemporary eLearning techniques and technology
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Experience in creating online learning materials (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, animations, graphics, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Articulate or similar eLearning authoring software, Adobe Creative Cloud, learning management systems, video development/editing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to quickly synthesize large amounts of information and build expertise in potentially unfamiliar topics
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities, work in teams as well as independently, and communicate complex ideas


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in eLearning design and development
