Along with senior executives from the business community, and a ton of “best-practice” teaching ideas, the MBA Conclave 2016 will feature a new Teacher- Leader Forum. This special program track is targeted at local teachers who have accepted statewide leadership roles. Together, we’ll work on strategies to better position business and marketing education in a very challenging STEM-oriented environment.
Who should attend? The Teacher-Leader Forum is for association’s 2016-17 officers who are likely to remain in a leadership role in 2017-18. Although states use different terms, the Forum is designed for officers of six key groups:
- business education professional associations
- business education division of the state’s ACTE affiliate
- BPA/FBLA advisor boards
- marketing education professional association
- Marketing education division of the state’s ACTE affiliate
- DECA advisor boards
Agenda: The Teacher-Leader Forum will run concurrently with the regular MBA Conclave program (with an extended schedule). The Forum will be a mix of presentations and working sessions, all focused on building a stronger presence for business and marketing programs through growth and development of our various professional associations. Agenda details will be released beginning approximately April 1.
Registration: Please be certain to register specifically for the Teacher-Leader Forum, NOT for the regular MBA Conclave. Your Forum registration WILL INCLUDE all regular MBA Conclave activities in addition to the special Forum agenda. You will have the option to choose activities in each time slot throughout the conference.
